Got A Letter Today

When I got home today,

there was an envelope from......

Mattel.

About a month ago, I sent for the Free Barbie Doll Promotion

to get the Barbie and Tawny Horse Set.

The letter said........

Due to the overwhelming response to the Promotion, it is

no longer available.

They will be sending

Barbie Puppy Water Park

as a replacement.

Also at the end of the letter there is a

$5.00 coupon off any Mattel or Fisher Price Product.

Good till May 31st.

Now what to buy with my 5.00 off coupon.

Barbie  or Monster High?

Forgot I had her

Looking thru some boxes today,

and came across a doll that I

completely forgot about.

Think she might be a Teresa.

Marked on head

Mattel 1990

On her back

Mattel 1996

Made in China

Hair seems to have been cut and restyled.

Not her original outfit

She is wearing a Fashion Ave Jacket

from the 1998 Boutique Collection

No. 20579

Boots go along with the jacket.

Not sure about the red skirt or the umbrella.

Won her on E-bay at least 3 or 4 years ago.

Had to buy something....

I think I am going thru

doll withdrawal. Yesterday,

when I found nothing, I

stopped in Big Lots and purchased....

Barbie Basics

Collection 002

Model No. 03

Mattel

2010

Made in Indonesia

She will be deboxed and rebodied.

I love her curly hair!

Big Lots find.

Also this morning thanks to Debbie from

Black Doll Collecting  posted

that Mattel.com had the Rocawear S.I.S.dolls.

I was able to order Marisa. Didn't

mind paying the 3.99 shipping since

I probably use that much in gas going from

store to store.

See Debbie's post here

Thanks Debbie for posting that information!

Recent Finds

Didn't post yesterday since I went to

an awards night.  And went I got home,

my monitor was giving me some problems.

Every so often it would go into this hibernation

mode and I have to shut down the computer,

take out the USB connections and just hit

some keys to get to monitor to come back on again.

But I think I fixed it now so it won't happen again.

Fingers crossed.

Haven't found much of anything in the past week.

Went to Toy's R Us, Target and Wal-Mart

looking for S.I.S. Marisa or any of the new

Monster High Dolls.

There was nothing out there. :(

Even the Thrift Store has been bad.

Couple things I have found.

Found this Magic Grow Aquarium

Thought I would put it to good use

in a diorama.

JA-RU

2004

You can add water and watch the

fish grow. If you empty the water,

the fish return to normal size.

Found these Dawn type of dolls.

6 inches tall.

No markings on the doll in the gold and orange.

She has some green at the knees.

Came with one boot.

The other doll is marked

Made in China

on her back.

Thrift Store find.

Women Action Figures

In the Northeast, the winter has been

pretty mild.  Whenever the temperature

is over 32 degrees, people are at the

 Flea Market selling their wares.

I got to there on Saturday, not many

dolls but I did find these two ladies.

Don't know who they are.

Lady No. 1

Lady No. 2

11 1/2 inches tall

Articulated

On their backs

both are marked M & G

Made in China

Looks like they have their original outfits

Most likely had accessories but they weren't

with these ladies.

Anyone have an idea who they are?

Flea Market find.

Barbie Build A Room Kit

When browsing through the

Fashion Fever doll auctions

I came across an auction for

pieces to a Barbie Build a Room Kit.

But before bidding, I checked to see

if there were others available.

Found one still in the box and not opened.

Price was right!  Cheaper than the pieces.

Barbie

Fashion Fever

Build A Room Kit

Mattel

2005

Made in China

Comes with 2 Wall Patterns

Custom Floor Tiles

Accessories look to include a shelf, a TV,

a deck of playing cards and a poster.

The shelf and poster seem to be on hangers that go

over the side of the wall.

Does anyone own this set? Will I be able to make

my own walls and use them with this set?

Will open the box this weekend, too busy

with other things this week to go and

find my furniture.

Will post pictures when I create some rooms!
