Found this cutie at the Thrift Store. Usually I am there only to buy Fashion Dolls, but I couldn't resist her.
I am hoping there are some My Twinn collectors out there to help me figure out what her name is by her face mold. She is 23 inches in height. Marked 1996 on her head and 2008 on her body. She is wearing a My Twinn outfit but not sure if it was original to doll.
Hi! I also rescued a MyTwinn doll from a flea market (in much worse shape than yours). I guess you made a good buy! This retailed for $169 new.
ReplyDeleteA few had names, but the vast majority of MyTwinns were unique creations made to look like photos of their children owners...that was the whole point of the company. So their "name" was whatever the child's name was -- it's not like American Girls or other similar dolls.
I think they are quite beautiful dolls, though their bodies can't be washed easily and aren't proportional. Her outfit looks original, but it's hard to tell. Most of their clothes are simple pants and t-shirts, and a few dresses.
I have found they can wear SOME size zero newborn stuff, including shoes. You might want to experiment! Real MyTwinn clothes are costly, running $25 and up.
