A Dolly Day

Today Chynadoll and I met up
for another Dolly Day.
We first went over to Big Lots to
pick up some Barbie Basic Accessories.
Then headed off to the Thrift Store where
we found no dollies. :(
After our excursion, we met up with
Chynadoll's husband where they treated me
to lunch at a local restaurant.
Thank you again Chynadoll!
Chynadoll and I had a wonderful day
talking about dolls!

Check out Chynadoll Doll Site

Mixed up Clone

After my trip to Amazing Savings,
we went over to Shoppers World which
was next door.
The store is located in an old grocery store.
In the window, I saw some Defa-Lucys.
Went in and headed for the toys.
Thought I might purchase a Lucy when
something else caught my eye.
I first did a double take when I thought
I saw a Barbie Basics Box.
Upon closer inspection it was a doll
called Super Cool Model.
A Barbie Clone.
There were a few different dolls (no AA)
all dressed differently.
I chose this one for her hair and her outfit.
Called Super Cool Model
 Lollipop Toys
2011
11 1/2 inches tall
Made in China
She has  real eyelashes and earrings.
It wasn't till I turned the box over
till I found out that she could be a Harumika Clone.

Her outfit is only a piece of material
wrapped around her body and locked
in place by pushing the material into a slot (style lock)
in her back.
Just like the Harumika dolls.
Comes with a stylus tool to tuck the fabric into the slot.
There is also a stand for the doll.
So I called her my Harumika Clone in a
Barbie Basics Clone Box.
She is kind of pretty and unusual  for $4.99.
Too bad she wasn't articulated.

Barbie-Bild Lilli Clone

This doll brought back a flood of memories from the past.
I remember back in the fifties and sixties, women would make
bride dolls to be placed in the back window of the bridal car.
This doll is a Bild Lilli/Barbie clone.
She has a U on the back of her neck which usually
indicates the Uneeda Doll company.  In the sixties, Uneeda made a
Barbie/Bild Lilli clone called Wendy. But from my research
this was a stock head which could be used on different dolls by different companies.
She is 11 1/2 inches tall and has bumps on the tops of her feet (To keep her shoes on)
I believe the dress may be handmade. It is removable.
It has an eye and hook closure. It has a layer of stiff net under the gown.
She has on a pair of panties.
Gown is yellowing.  Missing her shoes.
Hair is in perfect condition (looks like it did when it came out of the box)
Veil is attached to the ponytail. No holes in the veil.
Close up of face.

She was purchased at an Estate Sale over
the weekend.
Anyone have any more information please let me know.
