These shoes are too big for Barbie and her friends.

Found another male!

As I posted yesterday, I was going 

to meet my cousin for lunch.

I had read in the paper the day before

about a garage sale at a warehouse

not too far from the restaurant.

The ad said dolls so I decided to go up to that

area earlier  so I could check it out.

I came out with two items. One I will post

at another time. That item was a

vintage doll.

Here is what I found

At the time I wasn't sure who he 

was but the price was right. 

I paid $1.00. 

Got him home and today 

released him from the liner. 

He is a GI Joe

When I picked up this doll

last Saturday, I wasn't sure who she was. 

Her head was marked Olmec 1992 and

her body marked Hasbro 1988. 

At first I thought maybe she was re-bodied, but 

her head and body matched perfectly.

 It seems that the hair has been undone. 

She has one braid left in the back of her head.

She could either be Crimp and Bead Imani 

or Pop Star Imani. 

Hasbro introduced these 2 dolls in 1994 and 1995.

She was found without clothes, so I dressed her 

in a Pink Label Barbie outfit. (School Spirit Barbie 1995)

Getting kind of nostalgic lately.  When I first started collecting dolls (over 30+ years ago), I focused on 

dolls from the 50's.  For some reason I wouldn't buy Barbie. When I went to garage sales,(remember this was the time before E-bay and the internet), I would try and find something unique. Something different, as long as it wasn't a Barbie. I did buy one Barbie which was a bubblecut, but she was the only one. 

Thought I would post some of the dolls I purchased years ago before I started collecting fashion dolls.
