Bratz Sasha

On my way home from the Thrift Store, I happen to pass a flea market sponsored by the Boy Scouts.  While browsing the tables, I came across Birthday Bash Sasha mint in box for a great price.

Still More Yummi Land Dolls

On various trips to the Thrift Store, I would find a loose Yummi Land Doll in a plastic bag of small dolls.  I finally was able to find out their names except for the middle doll in the purple dress.  On the top stair, starting with the doll in the red dress, she is Susie Strawbella.  Next is the doll with no name.  Then we have Lucy Lollipop.
On the bottom. Kerri Cherry Sundae with Gaby Grapelina.  They are 5 inches tall, an inch bigger than the Lil Bratz dolls.  Kerri Cherry Sundae is the only doll with removable shoes.

Lil' Bratz

Found two Lil Bratz Dolls still mint in package.  First is Yasmin in "Mix n' Match Fashions".  She came out in 2002.  The next is Jade in "Funky Fashions" from 2003. They are 4 inches tall.   Both dolls were made by MGA Entertainment.

Beach Time

There is a story behind why I posted this doll today.  This morning, while driving home from K-Mart I spotted a sign for a yard sale that I had been to before.  The last time I was there probably last fall the lady conducting the sale said she would find Barbies she had  and would put them away till the next day.   I went back, but for some reason she wasn't conducting the yard sale.   When I walked up to the sale today, the lady remembered me and said she had the dolls packed away in another part of her garage and didn't take them out. (You wouldn't believe all the stuff she was selling.),  So I gave her my name and phone number and told her to call when she got to it since she lived close by. She has been having problems.  Her husband hasn't worked for over a year.  Having trouble paying her mortgage and needed money to pay a storage unit where she had more things to sell. There are times like this when I wish I was a millionaire so I could just hand out money to people in need.   So I started looking around and found a few things I wanted to buy,  Looking through containers, I came across these odd looking plastic thigamajigs. (for lack of a better word) There must have been about 10 small packages of different colors.  Suddenly an idea came to me, would it be possible to use these as replacement earrings and rings for some of the playline Barbies I had.  The problem of missing Barbie rings and earrings has been bothering me for sometime, since I have no talent for crafts, sewing, re-rooting, or painting.

I wound up buying all the packages she had along with a 1987 outfit for a Furskins Bear, an Indian Saree, two rubber balls for my dog and some fast food toys.  When I got home I thought lets try out my idea.  I used a Barbie who was dressed in a Baywatch Swimsuit and Visor.  The doll  is marked 1976 on her neck and she was made in Indonesia.  She was missing her ring and earrings.  I took 3 of the red plastic pins,  they fit perfectly in her ears (maybe a tiny bit too big?).  Then trying to figure out what to do for her ring.  I broke part of the stem off the pin and it fit in perfectly, but kept coming out.  Didn't want to Crazy Glue it in so I took clear nail polish and painted the stem. Stuck it in and let it dry.  It stayed in.  And it should be easy to take out if necessary.  I wonder what these pins were originally used for.  Anybody know?

Gabriella

A 17 inch Gabriella doll from High School Musical 3.  Produced by Disney in 2008.  She is wearing one of her original outfits.  Has her original earrings and necklace.  Jointed at the elbows and the knees. One of my favorites.

Xena - Warrior Princess

Xena was picked up along with my sleeping beauty. She was made by Toy Biz in 1999. Missing her sandals.
I found out through a posting on E-Bay, that the outfit she is wearing is from one of the TV Episodes where Xena becomes Warlord Xena.  The episode is entitled  "Armageddon Now, Part II,"

Sleeping Forever?

Picked up this doll today at the Flea Market.  Her closed eyes intrigued me.  Thought she was an older Sleeping Beauty Barbie.  When I brought her home I took off her missed matched clothes. Yuck,  her legs had some kind of black stuff on them.  I was able to get it all off with a little water and a Magic Eraser sponge. I redressed her in a pink Barbie Labeled gown.  Also added some pink heels.  She is marked Mattel, made in China, so she was produced  sometime between 1986 and present time. On her neck she is marked Disney.  Her eyes are closed. They are a pale light blue which made me to believe she was the type of doll when you wiped them with ice water the eyes would look like they were open.  I tried but nothing happened. Either the magic is gone or she is waiting for her Prince Charming to kiss her.
UPDATE: Just found some new information.  In 1995 Mattel produced Slumber Party Barbie, Midge and Teresa. They were soft-bodied dolls which had the same type of eyes.  They open with cold water and close with warm water. So I am assuming that my Disney sleeping doll probably was produced the same year or one year later.

Mystery Squad

Mystery Squad Barbie came out in 2002.  There were 3 other dolls in the series, Drew, Shawnee, and Kenzie.  Barbie is in her original outfit.  She is missing the accessories that came with her.  A great clue to recognizing this doll is her neon green fingernails.

Betty

This is Betty from the Archie Comic Book Series.  She was made by Mattel in 2005.  She is in her original outfit.  The only thing she is missing is a pink tie around her ponytail.

Swan Queen

In 1998 Mattel produced the Swan Queen from the Swan Lake Ballet (Classic Ballet Series), She is in her original outfit.  Added the ballet slippers minus the laces.
