Target Purchases

Went to Target this morning at 8:00 a.m. hoping to find something new. 

Found a MH Clawdeen Outfit. 

 Bought a Danielle Liv for Color.  I liked the Red Wig.

Would have liked the white wig and dress that Alexis wore but they didn't have her. 

The last doll I bought was the Spa Makeover Alexis.

Love the purple robe.

Will put Alexis away when I need a body.

They had no outfits.  Should have purchased a wig or two.

No new MH dolls, or the Bratzilla's which I would have bought.

I remember reading that someone was looking for 

the Elvis Barbie.

for twenty dollars.

She is a Vintage Candi Doll. 

Love the pink suit, reminds me of the early 60's.with the pill box hat.

Radiation, Bratz, Moxie, Baldness

Radiation is over. 15 treatments at 10 minutes each. 

Now have to wait 6 weeks to find out if it shrunk 

anything.  

This is the mask I wore when the radiation 

was beamed to my head. 

Anywhere there is a mark is where they had to point 

the radiation to.  Didn't feel anything at all. 

But it is so nice not having to stop everything at home 

get Pat to drive me to the hospital. 

Sarah my youngest went to TRU's for me yesterday and 

Picked up my bald Bratz and Moxie dolls. 

She picked up 3 for me. (Since I am kind of Bald now)

I have to give MGA Entertainment credit for 

joining with TRU's To get the dolls to collectors 

as well as children. 

My favorite is Cloe. Love her hat. Will be 

deboxing her. 
There is no Sasha.  No bald AA dolls. What's up with that?

My Peanut Doll

Long before I was collecting fashion dolls, 

I started collecting vintage dolls from the 50's  and earlier.

I probably bought this doll at least 25 years ago. 

Inside the shell I kept the receipt that I paid 25.00 for it. 

I am almost positive, I got this item from an Antique Store. 

When you open the lid of the paper peanut, you will find 

a celluloid doll from either the 1920's or 30's. She is only 

about 3 inches tall, but arms and legs move. 

Celluloid is highly flammable. And fragile.  My kids while I was in the 

hospital took one of my celluloid dolls and put some heavier items on the arms. 

Arm was not strong, now in many pieces. :(  At least I am able to save the clothes 

that was on the doll.

Only 3 more radiation treatments to go.  By next week 

they will be all over.  

But the best news was that the problem wasn't really a brain tumor. 

It was a metastasis that grew too large and  needed to get shrunk down to 

size before it really did any permanent damage. 

Radiation was a piece of cake. It took about 10 minutes.

My hair is all gone, but at least  I am alive. I am awaiting my hats from 

TLCdirect.org.    At least I am going to be in style with the Moxie Girls, 

Bratz and Barbie going bald.  

It's been fun exploring e-bay.  Been finding some great bargains. 

Hopefully will be on the road soon.   Tomorrow is KT's birthday and 

she is going to take me out of the house for awhile.  Pat needs a vacation 

from me.

Bundling

The word bundling is going to drive me crazy!  I hear it all the time.  Whether they are talking on TV 

about you putting your home and car insurance together,  or when Frankie from American Pickers puts 

a few items together to make a deal. 

If you have been following my blog before my operation, you already know that 

I have been looking for the Monster  High Cupid Doll, but didn't find it.

  While  I was having my head fixed. My older and only brother was 

on vacation in Florida.  I called him and asked him to look for cupid. 

He told me he had just found it on the Wal-Mart website.    Being curious 

I went to look. And there it was. Another victim of the word bundling. 

I hate purchasing stuff that I am probably not going to use. 

Here is the link to Wal-Mart.  You can get either a purple or pink chest with Cupid for 

$55.00.  I had it sent to the store across the street from my house.  Took a week to 

get it. 

I kind of like the chest now, since I can use it to store

my MH dolls and clothes.

Monday, after the  radiation treatment, I asked my brother 

to take me to Target. (which is right down the street from the Hospital). 

I finally got the last doll in the Liv Alice in Wonderland Series. It was 

on sale, so I thought I better get it when I saw it.

NO DRIVING! :(

Haven't driven my car since the beginning of March.   Didn't want to hurt anyone.  Now when I feel 

fine the doctors won't let me drive since I am getting the radiation and taking steroids to keep any inflammation 

down. 

C'est la vie

(Such is life).  I have been taking advantage of the time and trying to find dolls in my room that I have forgotten about.  Also looking on the net for bargains. 

One bargain I found is:

 SIS Locks of Looks.  for only 12.59.  Half price of what it was in Target.

Also picked up 3 other SIS dolls. 

Tracy Turnblad

Found Tracy years ago, but she has been buried among the

dolly stuff in my room.  Tracy Tumblad is a character from the movie

"Hairspray".  Ricky Late played Tracy in 1988. and Nicole Blonsky in 2007. 

Doll is 10 inches tall. My doll is mute.  Supposedly sings "Welcome to the 60's".

There were 6 dolls in the series.Doll is by PlayAlong from 2007. 

This is not her original outfit.  From what I can tell her original outfit 

was a pink dress.The outfit she has on just fits her and that is why she has it on. She has no shoes.

 Had to go looking for Tracy.  She ran out the door 

when we rescued her.  Found her in my new geranium 

plant that I got for my birthday from my cousin.
