Princess of Ireland from the Dolls of the World Series was produced by Mattel in 2001.

Do you recognize me 11?

This is a hard one.  Only marks on the back are Made in China.  The only thing that might be original are her earrings. Slacks marked Made in China. Has anyone ever seen another doll like this?

Doll Furniture

Picked up some doll furniture at the Thrift Store yesterday.  Katie and Alexis are sitting on a love seat complete with pillows.  Also came with small end table.

Daniela and Alexis just love the two new chairs with pillows and the tea cart. 

Liv Sophie

Sophie was found at the Thrift Store today.  Missing her wig, and her glasses.  She is in her original outfit.
She is marked on her back  Spin Master 2009  China.  Had a few extra wigs so I decided to see how she would look in them.

Sophie as a shoulder length green streaked brunette. 

As a blond with a pink streak.

How about straight black hair. 

Or a curly haired brunette.

Or maybe I will buy her a new wig and a new outfit?

Ms. Frizzle - Magic School Bus

Stopped at the Thrift Store today.  When I saw this doll, I already knew who she was since I teach in an elementary school.  Ms. Frizzle is a character from the Magic School Bus series by Scholastic. 
She is 18 inches tall.  Manufactured by Kenner in 1995. 

Princess Tenko

Princess Tenko was made by Mattel in 1995.  Marked Saban 1995 on neck.  China on back.   Princess Tenko is 6 1/2 inches tall.  Because of the color of her shoes I think this may have been the Golden Lion Tenko.  She is wearing a Sapphire Sea Dolphin bodysuit.  Missing her breastplate and headdress.

Project Runway - Dress Form

Dress form from the "Dress Making & Draping Set" from Project Runway.  The set was missing a few items. Still had a dress pattern, some fabric and the instructions. No date on box. Set was manufactured by Fashion Angels.

Marked 1990 on neck.  1966 Indonesia on back.  Wearing an Easter Style Dress circa 1997.  Replaced shoes.  Hair might have been in a ponytail.

 School ended today.  Got out about one o'clock.  So I decided to take a trip up to the Thrift Store. This is one of the dolls I found.  1999 on neck, 1966 on back.  Twist and Turn Waist.  I am assuming original outfit since she came with the shoes.

Harry Potter "Order of the Phoenix"  18 inch motion activated sound figure. by Warner Brothers and Neca Toys.  Marked 2007 on bottom of shoe.  Missing his wand.

1985 on neck.  1966 Indonesia on back.  Twist and Turn Waist.  She may have had braids, one of each side since the hair looks like it is twisted.  Looked in 4 different books, but couldn't find her. Barbie Pink Label dress. Probably not original to doll.  Pearl type of white earrings and ring.

I'm thinking this is a Cali Girl Teresa from 2004.   Marked 2003 on neck and 1999 Indonesia on her back.  Sun kissed crimped hair.  The most unusual thing about her is that she has 3 earring holes in each ear.  Was this the way she came from the factory?  Wearing a pink label Barbie outfit.  Replaced shoes.

Chelsie - Generation Girl

Generation Girl Chelsie was produced by Mattel in 1999.  Marked 1998 on neck and 1999 Indonesia on her back.  She is wearing her extra original outfit that came with her.  Missing her guitar, microphone and other accessories.

Oriental Barbie

Oriental Barbie was produced by Mattel in 1980.  She was part of the Dolls of the World Series. Hair needs to be restyled, bangs flattened down on forehead.

Do you recognize me- 5?

Marked on neck 2004. On back 1966   Made in Indonesia.  Iridescent strands of crimped hair run through her tresses.  Real eyelashes.  Purple design on the sides of both eyes.  Dress has a pink label.  Don't know if it is original to doll.  Shoes were replaced by me.

Need advice - what type of doll

My oldest daughter is going to China on a business trip tomorrow.  I would like her to bring me back a doll.
She will be there until July 2nd and will go to many cities.    I thought if she went to Shanghai she could visit the Barbie store, but then thought maybe she could find  a different type of doll not readily available in the U.S.. Any suggestions would be appreciated!  Thanks in advance.

Monster High

Monster High Dolls just came out this past week.  They are made by Mattel.  Package is shaped like a notebook is marked  2009 Made in Indonesia.  I got all 6 dolls at Toys R Us.  Saw them at Walmart today.
There are 4 single dolls and a gift set with 2 dolls. They are approximately 10 inches tall, awfully thin and are jointed at the elbows, knees and wrists.  The website for the dolls is:Monster High  I thought these dolls were unusual, so I thought I would get them all before certain ones are sold out. They are already selling on E-bay for double the price.

Charlie Brown - Based on his appearance in "A Charlie Brown Christmas" was produced by Playing Mantis in 2004.  13 inches tall.  Says over 10 phrases when left hand is squeezed. (Mine probably needs new batteries) Found at a yard sale.

Winter Fantasy

Winter Fantasy by Mattel.  Special Edition  1995. She came with her white heels.  She was found boxed at the Thrift Store today.  Since the box was opened, I thought I would take her out for her photo.  There is no rhyme or reason how they price things at this place.  After I found this boxed doll, I was walking down one of the aisles and there was the same Barbie in a plastic bag hanging up.  This one didn't have any shoes, but was priced the same as the boxed doll. Also I could see particles of dust on the bagged doll.   Doesn't make sense to price them the same. 

Peanuts Gang

5 inches tall. From 2002 manufactured by PMI (PlayingMantis)

No Charlie Brown, but found him in another form at a garage sale I stopped at before coming home. Will post tomorrow.

Fashionista Sporty

Today I was able to get out of the house early for a change.  Went to the Flea Market, but only picked up a Jade Bratz with some clothes.  So my big decision for the day was which way to go the the thrift shop.  Did I want to stop at Target or Toys R Us?   TRU's won.  I knew two of the new Barbie Basic dolls were out. They are Collection 001.5  Model 13 and 6.  But TRU's didn't have them. So I walked down  the aisle and saw the Sporty Barbie Fashionista. (2009).  Thought that would satisfy my disappointment of not finding the new Barbie Basic.  So I picked it up, turned around and saw something that I have seen in articles and I wanted.  Thought I would only take one, but wound up getting them all for fear that if I didn't get them today
they would be harder to find weeks later. So I walked out of TRU's  with 4 new dolls, the gift set and the brunette Fashionista.  Off to the thrift store. Will post pictures of my new dolls tomorrow.

Swimsuits

Picked up these 3 at the flea market yesterday from the same dealer.  Two are from the Palm Beach Series, Barbie and Teresa. Produced in 2001.  The other is Rio de Janeiro Christie from 2002.  Boxes are damaged, wonder if I should debox?

Happy Family - Midge

Found Happy Family Midge -2004 at the Flea Market this afternoon.  Not original outfit, no label in dress.

Took a half day of work today because I had to see the doctor.   Had some time before the appointment, so I decided to stop at the Flea Market.  Found this Barbie marked 1991 on the neck. and Made in Indonesia on her back.  She was wearing a different outfit which didn't seem to be her original outfit, so I quickly took this out of my stash of clothes.  Never realized this was a vintage black label Barbie dress.   Will have to try to find out the name. . Barbie's ponytail is stiff. Necklace and earrings are original. Missing ring. Any ideas who I may be?

Marked on the head 1987.  On her back she is marked 1993 Indonesia. Her dress is not marked and probably no original.   Large feet, most likely wore sneakers. Jointed at elbows and knees. Not sure what her waist is called, but it is sort of a ball where she can pose every which way.   A gymnast?

Bratz Rock Angelz- Band Instrumentz

Bought the set of Bratz Band Instrumentz on Saturday at the Thrift Store.  Box was damaged so I deboxed it all.  Besides the stage, it came with a set of drums, keyboard with stool, and more accessories. I am not sure of the name of the Bratz doll.  It is either Yasmin or Roxxi and was included in the package. Produced by MGA entertainment in the Fall of 2005.

In 1997 Mattel produced Hula Hair Barbie.  Missing her metallic gold grass skirt.

City Style Teresa

City Style Teresa was produced by Mattel sometime in the early 2000's.  Can't find the exact date. Replaced shoes.
